Keri LevensIWC women achieve top honors in 2010 Les Dames D’Escoffier Scholarship Program
This summer three International Wine Center students were recognized by Les Dames D’Escoffier, a professional women’s organization dedicated to promoting excellence in food, wine and hospitality. Two students received general scholarships from the Les Dames’ New York chapter and one student received the organization’s International Legacy Wine Award. Following are their stories. Read more.

International Wine Center offers the Wine & Spirit Education Trust®’s Intermediate Certificate class in a three-day schedule and the Advanced Certificate class in a weeklong format. Raj Vaidya
Raj Vaidya, head sommelier for the three-star Michelin restaurant DANIEL, attributes his early passion for fine cuisine to his family’s obsession with food and drink. Growing up in Bombay, he began learning about wine well before he would have been legally permitted to drink in this country. He refined his knowledge at what he calls his first serious restaurant job working at New Jersey’s Ryeland Inn with a chef who had a natural affinity for pairing food and wine. Read more.
Set up, clean up … save money!
International Wine Center is accepting applications for Teaching Assistants for fall and winter WSET® Foundation and Intermediate Certificate classes. Teaching assistants help set up for class, pour wines and clean up, and must be available for every class session - no exceptions. For their service, teaching assistants receive a significantly discounted course rate. Read more.
