The Diploma is delivered in six mandatory units covering a broad range of topics
D1 – Wine production coverage includes:
Vine requirements
Anatomy of the vine and grape
Grape growing options and how these options affect the final wine produced
Natural factors in the vineyard and how they influence the vine’s ability to produce grapes
Winemaking and post-fermentation options and how they influence the style, quality and price of wines

Course weeks run Monday to Sunday.
Each course has a set start and finish date, with clear guidelines on progression, however there are no fixed times to log-on as there is no "live" delivery of content. Students can complete their learning at times that suit them.
Students will learn through a range of independent and/or group activities supported by videos and quizzes, designed to achieve the required learning outcomes to prepare for the examination.
Throughout the course, students will have access to a subject-specialist educator who’ll provide feedback on any assigned exercises and respond to course-related queries.

- A passing grade in the WSET Level 3 Advanced Course in Wines, or WSET Level 3 Advanced Course in Wines & Spirits
Complete Enrollment Agreement
- Select and complete the corresponding Enrollment Agreement for your course – Be sure to sign on the second page.
- This must be completed. You will need to upload it during the registration process.
