WSET Level 4, Fortified Wines, D5
Port, Sherry, Madeira and other types of fortified wines are the focus of this specialist-level course for Level 4 students who have succeeded at Wine Production, D1/Unit 2. Also, WSET requires that students have studied Level 4, D2 Wine Business, before registering for this Unit.

NOTE: All courses are offered tentatively as permitted by NYC Phase 4 re-opening guidelines.
Please note: If you must postpone a class or exam because you are in ‘at risk’ status for coronavirus, IWC will not penalize you financially and will help you reschedule. At-risk individuals are those who have travelled to any of the Coronavirus affected countries or at-risk regions in the three weeks prior to their IWC course or exam, or who have been in contact with anyone who has been in these areas. We advise these individuals to reschedule their class or exam, in the interests of public health. We will continually revisit our position as the risks evolve.
Course Registration Deadline: October 24, 2020
- At least 21 years of age AND
- A passing grade in the WSET® Level 4 Wine Production D1/Unit 2 Course.
- WSET requires that students have studied Level 4, Wine Business, before registering for this Unit.
Complete Enrollment Agreement
- Select and complete the corresponding Enrollment Agreement for your course – Sign three times on second page.
- This must be completed. You will need to upload it during the registration process.
Registration Fee: $53
Discounted fees are available to Teaching Assistants. These positions are limited in number and are granted at the discretion of the International Wine Center.

Time: 3:30pm – 5:00pm
Format: Blind Tasting exam – three wines and Theory exam – Written open-response questions, in 90 minutes.
