    Overview:

    Gnarly Vines is a vibrant, adored neighborhood wine and spirits shop in Fort Greene, Brooklyn since 2007 with a devoted clientele.  We offer a considerably larger selection than a ’boutique’ shop but we’re much more approachable and selective than a huge superstore.

    We have a strong emphasis on small production wines and spirits that are ‘sustainable or stricter’. Yet we’re not crusaders. We believe in the broad spectrum of wines and spirits from different regions and varietals, in different styles, that appeal to a wide range of tastes and budgets.

    Seeking a responsible, bright, detail-oriented person to roll up their sleeves and contribute in all aspects of customer service for our vibrant neighborhood wine shop. The candidate must be personable, presentable, team-focused, communicate well and be motivated to provide the highest level of customer service possible. This is a very hands-on position.

    Desired Qualifications
    -Serious (or at least budding) interest in wines and spirits with solid writing skills.
    -Prior experience in a restaurant with a well-curated list, a retail shop or formal study (i.e. WSET certificate)
    -Solid computer skills – Mac savvy with POS experience
    -Must be able to commit to approx. 18-25 hours per week, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Job Description:

    The Winemakers Co-Op, a non-profit dedicated to driving the fine wine movement in the Garden State seeks part time administrative support.  This largely remote role will provide support to the Executive Director and will be a combination of marketing communications and administrative tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • At least 1-3 years’ experience, with some experience preferably in wine and spirits, other consumer packaged goods or agricultural industry preferred, but not required.
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • Self-starter, ability to work independently.
    • Organized, multi-tasker, able to juggle multiple projects at once.
    • Interest in wine required.
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Internet research, experience with email service provider, social media platforms desired
    • Willing to commit to 8-10 hours per week, with a minimum 6-month commitment.

    Responsibilities:  Serve as part time administrative support for Executive Director. Projects will encompass:

    • Field Support – assist with collecting data from participants for various initiatives. Developing relationships with key stakeholders, creating efficient ways to collect, input and visualize data.
    • Administrative Support – assist with scheduling, database segmentation, website development and other administrative tasks as needed.
    • Content marketing – assist with content marketing, including copy writing, editing, and scheduling.
    • Special Events – occasionally provide on-site support for special events including set up, registration, pouring etc.
    • Shipping Samples – occasionally assist with packing and shipping wine samples for various projects.
    • Social Media – assist with posting, account management and outreach through various social media channels.
