    International Wine Center is the provider of WSET courses in NYC. We offer over 50 courses a year, from Intermediate to Diploma level, that are offered in a variety of morning, evening and weekend options. Intermediate through Diploma classes require one or more Teaching Assistants to set up the classrooms, pour wines during class, and stay afterwards to clean up.

    Teaching Assistants must be available for every class session – no exceptions – and report at least one hour prior to class start time.

    Qualifications:

    • At least 1-3 years’ experience, with some experience preferably in wine and spirits,other consumer packaged goods or agricultural industry preferred, but not

    • Content marketing – assist with content marketing, including copy writing, editing, and scheduling.

    Job Description

    Millesima USA, a fine wine merchant on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, specializing in European wines, is seeking to add a sales associate to prepare for the Holiday season and continue to grow the business. We are looking for an energetic and personable salesperson who can guide customers with varying levels of knowledge at our retail storefront. The ideal candidate will also be prepared to take on expanded responsibilities as opportunities present themselves.

    Responsibilities

    • Guide customers with purchasing advice tailored to each individual preference
    • Utilize Millesima’s Point of Sales system and procedures to enhance selling efficiencies
    • Participate in store opening and store closing duties
    • Participate in industry tastings and weekly tastings with wholesalers
    • Be aware of current store promotional events and sales
    • Be dependable, punctual and have strong communication skills

    Requirements

    • Sales experience, wine retail preferred

    A solid grasp of food and wine pairings, concise problem solving, good writing skills, a team player approach and an outgoing personality are all an absolute must.

    While professional experience or education certification is preferred, candidates with a genuine interest in wine and a willingness to learn more will be considered.
