    Job Description

    International Wine Center is seeking a full-time team member who can assume a key role in school and office operations.

    The ideal candidate is passionate about wine; interested in expanding his or her wine career beyond retail sales or restaurant experience; is trustworthy, reliable and holds some level of WSET credentials; and is keen to continue his or her WSET studies as part of the IWC team.

    Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

    • Wine and Spirits purchasing
      • Selecting and managing the wines, spirits and sake for each class while adhering to WSET’s guidelines and also budgetary issues. Includes all tasks necessary for instructor coordination and classroom presentation.
    • Classroom services
      • Managing Teaching Assistants for in-person classes, including their recruitment, training and oversight. Maintaining classroom supplies and facilities conditions
      • Managing preparations for in-person exams
    • Online class operations
      • Registering students into WSET’s online classroom, oversight of Remote-Invigilation exams and serving as the liaison between students and WSET
    • General school and office operations
      • Managing repairs, school maintenance and ordering office supplies

    The candidate ideally will be fluent in MS Office, including Excel, possess solid interpersonal and communication skills, is a team-player, adaptable and flexible, able to multi-task and very organized. Prior experience in wholesale wine purchasing is helpful but not necessary.

    The position offers the opportunity to take WSET courses and to earn career certifications. It also offers opportunity to interact and network with people from all aspects of the wine and food industry.
