Glancy Wine Education Foundation Scholarship

International Wine Center is pleased to partner with the Glancy Wine Education Foundation to offer financial aid to qualified students. If you are a working or aspiring hospitality professional looking to further your wine education, you may be a candidate for a Glancy Wine Education Foundation scholarship.


The Glancy Wine Education Foundation is dedicated to assisting underserved and minority communities with scholarships to further their wine education in the hopes of increasing diversity, raising earning power, and growing the knowledge base of tomorrow’s wine enthusiasts.
 
To apply for a scholarship, first determine the International Wine Center course you wish to take, and then fill out a scholarship application on the Glancy Wine Education Foundation website where you will indicate the course, its start date, and its cost.

Scholarships, which cover between 50% and 100% of course costs (depending on financial need), are awarded monthly, so make sure to apply in advance of your course start date. Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation WSET Certification Scholarships

Dave Rudman, Partner and Managing Director of International Wine Center is honored to serve on the Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation committee, which awards scholarships annually for WSET qualification courses.

The Women of the Vine & Spirits Foundation WSET Certification Scholarship is designed to elevate and empower women in the beverage alcohol industry by removing financial barriers to professional advancement. Awarding scholarships ranging from $325 up to $8,500, this opportunity helps recipients take the next step in their education journey by covering the cost of Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses.

Whether candidates are just starting out or ready to deepen their expertise, this scholarship supports WSET Levels 1-2 in Beer, Levels 1-3 in Sake, Levels 1–3 in Spirits and WSET Levels 1–4 in Wines – all of which are offered by International Wine Center in New York City. Applicants must specify their intended WSET Level when applying, as scholarship amounts vary by course level.

Applicant Eligibility Requirements for WSET Scholarship:

  • Must be legal drinking age in your country.
  • Essay (approximately 500 words), the topic of which is listed on the application.
  • One or two letters of recommendation.
  • Resume
  • Completed and signed scholarship application that meets the criteria and includes all required attachments, which must be postmarked or electronically submitted no later than 11:59PM on the application deadline date to be considered for the scholarship.
  • May not be an owner, officer, director or employee of Women of the Vine & Spirits, Women of the Vine & Spirits Global Symposium, Trellis Concepts LLC, and/or the Foundation.

New Zealand Wine Sommelier Scholarship & ‘Sommit™’

International Wine Center enjoys partnership with New Zealand Wine to promote its New Zealand Wine Sommelier Scholarship. The scholarship provides engaged wine professionals from all over the world with the opportunity to take part in an unforgettable wine experience, discovering the regions, varieties, landscapes and personalities that make New Zealand wine so distinctly New Zealand.

The scholarship includes:

  • Attendance at the Sommit™ in Waitaki Valley (22-23 January 2027)
  • Attendance at Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand in Wairau Marlborough (2-4 February 2027)
  • Wine experiences and tastings in regions across New Zealand
  • International and domestic flights, accommodation, meals, transfers, event registrations and all event inclusions

Candidates are expected to have an obsession for all things wine, and a particular hankering for knowledge of New Zealand wine.

Les Dames d’Escoffier of New York 2026 Scholarships

Les Dames d’Escoffier New York (LDNY) is an international organization of accomplished professional women in the food, nutrition, fine beverage, and hospitality industries. The primary goal of the Annual Scholarship Program is to encourage talented women to become leaders in these fields by assisting them in furthering their professional education. In 2025, twenty deserving women were awarded over $74,000 in scholarships.

All recipients are offered the opportunity to participate in our Mentorship Program. This program provides scholarship winners with additional support as they strive to advance in their chosen fields.

The following scholarships were awarded in 2026 as part of our partnership:

  • Anastasia Grinberg, International Wine Center In-Kind Scholarship, $2,208
  • Hannah Kent, LDNY Legacy Dame Scholarship in memory of Patricia Savoie, $1,000
  • Rosalie Wu, LDNY In Memoriam Scholarship, 2026, in the name of Laura Maioglio, $2,000
