Mengyu Sun, DipWSET, Instructor
Mengyu is not your typical wine instructor. By day, she serves as an Emerging Market Macro Business Manager at a major investment bank, but when the sun sets, she dons the hat of a wine influencer and educator.
Mengyu’s love affair with wine began as a serendipitous discovery. Upon earning her prestigious Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designations, she sought a new challenge that blended science, art, history, and culture and was steeped in the passage of time. This led her to embark on a journey into the world of wine, eventually founding WhenWine酒酣时分, a company dedicated to wine tastings, critiques, consultancy, and education.
Mengyu began studying wine at International Wine Center in 2017 and embarked on her WSET diploma journey there in 2020. Her dedication paid off when, by October 2022, she had successfully completed all 6 units of the Diploma. She was awarded the WSET Diploma in Wine with Merit in 2023.
