Exams
Following are WSET Level 1 through Level 4 exam dates available for students who need to re-sit or make-up an exam. In-person exams take place at IWC. Level 1 and Level 2 exams for online courses take place remotely via secure online video proctoring.

WSET Level 1 Exams
- Registration Deadline: WSET requires all examinees to be registered a minimum of 16 business days prior to exam date. See individual exam dates below for the specific registration deadline. After the registration deadline, all exam orders are final.
- Fee for students whose original exam fee has expired – whether by failure to attend, failure to defer prior to deferral deadline, or failure to sit their exam within one year of their Original Exam Date – as well as students who are re-sitting the exam following a previous unsuccessful attempt: $138.00
- Postponement Period: Students have 12 months from the start of their course to sit the exam; thereafter another exam fee applies.
- Exam Deferral Process: You may defer your scheduled exam one time by notifying IWC in writing (at info@internationalwinecenter.com) in advance of the Deferral Deadline; your first deferral carries no fee. If you defer your exam more than once, a Deferral Fee of $40 is due each time thereafter.

Level 1 in Wines Course Exams
In-person exam dates at International Wine Center
- Saturday, February 1, at 4:00pm. This exam is associated with class F 125 INT; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is January 14, 2025
Computer exams via Secure Remote Video Proctoring
These exams take place on a specific day and time. You need to take your exam in a private environment of your choice using a desktop or laptop computer AND your cell phone.
- Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:00am. This exam is associated with class FOL 424; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is November 13, 2024.
WSET Level 2 Exams
- Registration Deadline: WSET requires all examinees to be registered a minimum of 16 business days prior to the exam date. See individual exam dates below for the specific registration deadline. After the registration deadline, all exam orders are final.

- Sunday, January 26, 2025, at 4:00pm. This exam is associated with class IC 325 INT; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is January 6, 2025
- Monday, March 31, 2025, at 6:00pm. This exam is associated with class IC 425; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is March 3, 2025
- Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 6:00pm. This exam is associated with class IC 525; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is March 20, 2025
- Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 6:00pm. This exam is associated with class IC 625; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is April 16, 2025
- Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 4:00pm. This exam is associated with class IC 725 INT; availability for rescheduling and re-sit students depends on class enrollment. Registration/defer deadline is February 28, 2025

WSET Level 4 Courses Exams
The exams and assessments for WSET Level 4 Courses have unique formats, fixed exam dates, deferment deadlines and re-sit fees. All exam fees are included in the cost of the course. Fees below are for rescheduling or re-sitting an exam. Exam details, broken out by course, follow below.
A Transfer Fee of $40 applies to ALL Level 4 exams each time one defers or reschedules prior to the exam registration deadline.
