Jennifer Spiering, DipWSET, Instructor
Jennifer’s interest in wine began during a college study abroad program in Lyon, France. This was her first taste of wine and first visit to a winery. Ever since returning she has been eager to learn more about wine and winemaking. After relocating to NYC in 2006 for a finance job, she enrolled in the WSET program at International Wine Center.
Since then, at the suggestion of fellow classmates and industry friends, she switched career fields and received her WSET Diploma. Jennifer has spent the last fourteen years in the wine & spirits wholesale industry in New York working for distributors of all sizes, representing a wide variety of products. She has since had the opportunity to travel to many wineries and distillers as part of her job.
She is currently managing distributors in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions for a producer and she hangs out with her Aussie Shepherds when home. She is thrilled to be a member of the team at IWC and is happy to teach and mentor students eager to learn all things wine and spirits.
