Christopher Sachs, DipWSET, Instructor

Christopher Sachs is a wine and spirits professional based in Central New Jersey.

He was classically trained in Culinary Arts at The Culinary Institute of America where he took a short course in the study of wine. That’s where his love of food and wine really blossomed.

Shortly after graduation, he worked in the restaurant industry at Ninety Acres in Peapack/Gladstone, NJ and End of Elm in Morristown, NJ. After his last stint in restaurants, Christopher began studying the curriculum 0f the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) at International Wine Center. He graduated with WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits in 2020.

In February 2022, Christopher completed the Certified Sherry Wine Specialist (CSWS) program with the Wine Scholar Guild, He passed the comprehensive certification program with Highest Honors.

In April 2022, Christopher traveled to Verona to attend the VinItaly International Academy. Following a rigorous exam process he attained the title of Italian Wine Ambassador, becoming one of fewer than 300 people in the world to be certified. To further his dedication to the Italian wine culture and share his passion and knowledge of Italian wines, he has become an Italian Wine Educator.

He currently works as a Sales Representative with Skurnik Wines and Spirits in the NJ/NY area. He consults with various retail and restaurant partners on a daily basis.

Christopher finds joy in exploring the world by way of wine, spirits, sake, and cider and sharing his ‘travels’ with everyone.
