Deniece Bourne, DipWSET, Instructor

Deniece M. Bourne has served the Barbadian, Caribbean and Global Wine & Spirits Industries for nearly two decades! Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised and educated in Barbados, she holds an Associate Degree in French, Spanish and Italian for Business and Tourism, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and a Master’s degree in Management. Her professional journey in Wine began in 2007, and a growing passion for the industry led her to co-found and manage Palate Selections, a boutique wine import and distribution business company, which she successfully led for almost ten years.

Since returning to New York City in 2018, Deniece worked for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust as Business Development Manager for Eastern U.S.A., Canada and The Caribbean. She is the Founder & Chief Savant of Savoir Global LLC, providing wine and spirits education and strategic consultancy services throughout the Americas, with a particular focus on northeast USA and the Caribbean.

A committed advocate for wine and spirits education, Deniece holds the WSET Diploma in Wines, and has been a Certified Educator for WSET Wines and Spirits certifications since 2019. She also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Hospitality Department at CUNY CityTech. Deniece is a Dame and former Board Member with Les Dames d’Escoffier New York City.
