Joanna Wyzgowska DipWSET, CWE, CSE, Instructor
Initially, Joanna began her career in the beverage industry as a bartender. As her interest in wine and spirits grew, she first became a Certified Sommelier (CMS) in 2014, followed by the WSET Diploma and Certified Sake Sommelier (Sake School of America) in 2016. Her abiding passion for all things beverage—whether it’s wine, spirits, sake, cider or beer—led her to continually pursue and expand her knowledge. Furthermore, she successfully completed the Certified Wine Educator and Certified Spirits Educator programs (SWE) in 2019 and also became a Certified Cicerone® (Cicerone Certification Program) in 2021.
To supplement her beverage education with hands-on experience, Joanna has worked as a vineyard intern at Mattebella Vineyards in the North Fork of Long Island for the entire 2014 vintage, and as a winery intern at City Winery (NYC) for about a year beginning in the fall of 2013. Joanna has over a decade of experience working in the restaurant industry as a sommelier and beverage director in some of the foremost NYC fine dining establishments. Currently, she is also a beverage instructor at Beverage Ed.
