Keith Bailey, DipWSET, Instructor

Keith’s keen interest in wine dates back more than 35 years.

While pursuing a career in investment banking, Keith found his interest in wine evolving from a casual hobby to something very much more.

His first trip to Burgundy in 1994 set him on the road to wine geekdom. Keith began following every aspect of wine, especially Burgundy — reading extensively, traveling to wine regions, visiting winemakers, collecting bottles, and improving his French. He started a wine tasting group.

Starting in 2007, Keith attended classes at IWC. He earned his WSET Diploma in Wines and Spirits in 2012.

He currently works at Morrell Wine in New York City, and, during summer months, at Dunn and Sons in Yarmouth on Cape Cod. Keith is actively involved with the Metropolitan Club in New York, helping that organization refresh its wine program and hosting wine focused events.

For Keith, the essence of wine is so much more than simply drinking what is in the glass. And so for him the journey of learning continues.
