Keith Bailey, DipWSET, Instructor
Keith’s interest in wine was initiated by visits to Burgundy in the early 1990s where he was fortunate to be guided by Becky Wasserman-Hone and her team at Le Serbet. This triggered a rigorous and passionate pursuit of knowledge about wine and how it is made. His view is that to gain depth of knowledge it is very helpful to visit the region, meet the winemakers and walk the vineyards. This has resulted in numerous trips to France and Italy and, while living in Sydney, the vineyards of the Yarra Valley and Western Australia.
Keith recently retired from a career of over 30 years in investment banking. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Law from Trinity Hall, Cambridge in England.
He obtained his WSET Diploma through International Wine Center in 2012. He assists the Metropolitan Club in New York with wine focused events and has a blog – The-Vignettist.com – on which he sets out his views on various wine matters.
Keith currently teaches the WSET Level 1 Foundation Course.
