
Mary Margaret McCamic, MW
Mary Margaret became a Master of Wine in 2016. She was the recipient of two prestigious awards for her performance on the Master of Wine exam, earning both the Bollinger Medal as the top taster in her class as well as the Overall Achievement Award for being the top student in her graduating MW class. Prior to enrolling in the Master of Wine program, Mary Margaret completed her WSET Diploma through International Wine Center, and was awarded WSET’s Wine Australia Scholarship for achieving the highest overall score in the United States.
In addition to her wine credentials, Mary Margaret holds a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Teaching, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was also a four-year varsity swimmer.
Over the past 12 years, Mary Margaret has worked on nearly every side of the wine business, with experience in restaurant, wholesale, retail, and direct to consumer wine sales in key U.S. markets, including New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. These roles have allowed her to develop extensive experience in wine sales and education, as well as marketing, writing, and developing wine-related curriculum for both professionals and consumers. She currently lives and works in Napa, holding positions as both the Sales Manager at Screaming Eagle and General Manager for Karolus Wine Imports, which represents the wines of Bonneau du Martray in the U.S.
