Thibault Marronnier, DipWSET, Instructor
Thibault’s story is intertwined with the essence of Champagne, as he was both born and nurtured in the heart of that vibrant region. His journey took him through vineyards and wineries of all sizes, including those of the most iconic locales of the region – such as Reims, Epernay, Oger, Ay, and Vertus — where he developed his curiosity about wine and his thirst for knowledge.
Thibault earned his Masters degree from Neoma Business School in Reims. After working in a wine shop in Paris, he found that his aspirations leading him across the Atlantic to New York City, where he arrived in 2010.
Here, he assumed the role of Brand Ambassador for a prestigious family-owned enterprise specializing in Bas-Armagnacs, Bordeaux, Graves, and Madirans. He subsequently worked as a sales representative for a New York based importer.
In 2014, Thibault’s fervor for the world of Champagne brought him to Champagne Lanson, and he has been the North America Sales Manager since 2019.
Thibault holds the WSET Diploma in Wines, which he earned at International Wine Center in 2021.
