WSET Level 3 Wines Online Course

ACOL 225 LWS O3WI2514APP

The course consists of nine online modules, and students should aim to complete one module per week. Ten hours study per week is recommended to cover the online activities and the relevant chapters in the textbook. Regular access and participation in the online activities is essential for this mode of study.

The course has a fixed start date and finish date. Modules begin on Monday and end on Sunday. Students learn through a range of independent and/or group activities supported by videos and quizzes.

This course is run by the WSET Online Classroom under the guidance of subject-specialist WSET educators who will provide feedback on any assigned exercises and respond to course-related queries.

There is no "live" delivery of content. However, IWC provides a tasting strategy session and a practice tasting exam, both in NYC. The exam itself also takes place in NYC.

WSET Level 4, Independent Research Assignment, D6

This element of the WSET Level 4 Diploma Course involves independent research on an assigned topic and the writing of a 3000-word research paper. A 2.5 hour class assists students in approaching their research. Also, WSET requires that students have studied Level 4 D2 'Wine Business' before registering for this course.

IMPORTANT: If you enroll to submit a paper for July 2025, we insist that you prepare at least a rough draft of your paper prior to the webinar. The D6 webinar is discussion-driven; If you haven’t progressed to at least the rough draft stage of your paper you will not be prepared to actively participate in the webinar.
